JV White

The PMHS JV White Team improved their performance in Thursday evening’s loss to Dickinson.  The Maverick defense held the Gators scoreless in the first half of play and allowing only 12 in the second half.  Memorial’s offense had trouble moving the ball early on, but began to have some success later in the game.  Overall, the Mavericks bettered their play and look forward to next weeks first district contest against Summer Creek.  Go Mavs!

Freshman Black

The Maverick Freshmen Dark team took on the Dickinson Gators a their home stadium on Thursday September 6th and lost by a score of 20 to 0. The Mavs fought hard and competed throughout the game but fell short. Jayden Balderas, Xavier Lerma, Ivan Robles, and Alex Mateo were a few of the Mav stand outs in yesterdays game.

Freshman White

The Maverick’s freshman white team succumbed to Dickinson 25-0. The Mav’s struggled to move the ball with any consistency against Dickinson. Daylight was hard to come by for the Mav’s, who need to turn things around next week in preparation for the match up against Summer Creek. With the exception of a few blown assignments, the Mav’s defense performed adequately. The defense kept the Mav’s in the game during the 1st half but eventually began to wear down. Although not reflected in the outcome, there were a few bright spots for the Mav’s. The Mav’s defense stopped multiple extra point tries and were repeatedly in the Dickinson backfield throughout the game.
