The Memorial Maverick JV White squad played hard in a close contest against Summer Creek. Summer Creek scored early in the 1st quarter, but the Maverick defense stopped their two point conversion to give the opponent a 6-0 lead.  In the 2nd quarter, the Maverick Defense held strong to force a punt setting up a Memorial Score. With a 4th and 2 situation, quarterback, Jeremiah Martinez, pushed his way forward behind the Maverick offensive line (McClellan, Gomez, Martinez, Andrade, and Barr)  for a 1st down. A few plays later, Rashad Collier crossed the goal line for a Maverick touchdown.  Collier then found the end zone again on a short run for the 2 point conversion, giving PMHS an 8-6 lead. Summer Creek answered this score with a short TD run after a failed punt attempt by the Mavericks. However, the defense held strong denying Summer Creek the 2 point conversion, finalizing the score at 8-12. Defensive standouts for the Mavericks include Cameron Juaregui, Dedrick Hudgen, Joshua Lujan, Jayden Everett, and Alberto Ramos.

The Pasadena Memorial Maverick freshmen Dark team lost on Thursday afternoon to the Summer Creek Bulldogs by the score of 50 to 6. The Mavericks faced a very talented team and fought the entire game despite having lost 6 starters to injuries the last 2 weeks.
