Mavs Travel to La Porte

The Memorial Mavericks continue preparation for the 2019 season by traveling to La Porte to scrimmage the Bulldogs. Freshman scrimmage at 4:30, followed by Junior Varsity at 5:30. Varsity action begins at 7:00pm. All games will be at Bulldog Stadium in La Porte. Directions

JV Black 0-20 Game cancelled in 2nd quarter due to lightning. JV White 37-34 JV White Defeats Dobie The Memorial Mavericks came out on top Wednesday evening, defeating the Longhorns 37-24. Week 9 Sub Varsity Report

JV Black 16-0 The JV black defeated the South Houston Trojans 16-0. The Mavs were lead on offense by QB Davian Tollentino. Tollentino ran the ball for some big first downs and also hooked up with Xavier “Galloping” Gallardo for a  long TD pass. The JV Black Defense held South Houston in check the entire game and completed the shutout.

Week 8 Sub Varsity Report

JV Black 28-0 The JV black got back on the winning track by defeating the Texans 28-0. Israel Davila got the scoring going with a 1 yard run. Davila then added the extra point with a completion from J.D. Zapata. Jose Chavez got the second score around the left end for a 26 yard run.

Week 7 Sub Varsity Football Report

JV Black 8-43 The Mavericks got off to a rough start but played a good 2nd half in a 43-8 loss to Atascocita. Jesus Martinez scored the Mavs only touchdown. The extra point was a J.D. Zapata pass to Israel Davila. The defense was led by Andrew Ramirez, Max Garza, and Luis Cepeda. JV White 22-28

JV Black Lose to Kingwood 27-6 The Mavs lost a district game to the Kingwood Mustangs 27-6. The lone Mav score came on a short run by Israel Davila. J.D.
